The third year students, who opted for Projects which is a 3 credit elective course under Environment Specialization were taken for an outbound to Vigyan Ashram, an NGO that works towards sustainable livlihoods in agriculture for students from Maharashtra , Chattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh .The NGO is located in Village Pabal near Pune.

Students of SCMS-Pune interacted with students and faculty at Vigyan Ashram and learnt about many innovative projects being undertaken in animal husbandry, fishery, agriculture, solar power , product design etc.

The students came back greatly enriched and also enjoyed the trip immensely. The biggest take away being greater sensitivity and awareness for social and environmental concerns.
