IPR WORKSHOP AT SCMS PUNE
On Friday, 20th January 2023, A half day workshop on Intellectual Property Rights was conducted by Advocate Anand Mahurkar for the faculty and staff of SCMS Pune. The session was conducted from 10:15 AM to 12:30 PM in the AV Room.
The session has been extremely insightful and interactive. Topics from Intellectual Property Rights Management including copyrights, trademarks, patents and geographical indications have been covered, leaving a great impact on the participants.
The attendees got an opportunity to revisit and know more about the rich Indian Intellectual Property rights. Adv. Anand Mahurkar’s thoughts on areas like self branding, evaluation of investors, and ways to better adopt innovation have indeed been a valuable addition to the existing knowledge of the attendees.
Furthermore, at the end of the session the faculty and staff received a new zeal of inspiration, purpose and enthusiasm for publishing books. Overall, it was a very participative session with much enjoyed refreshing and informative deviations.

On 31st August, 2019, Advocate Anand Mahurkar was invited to Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies, Pune to share his valuable knowledge primarily on Intellectual Property Rights. A workshop less, a learning experience more via anecdotes sighting mythological characters, Mr. Anand had taken the initiative in enriching the expertise of staff, faculty and students alike in a variety of topics such as Cyber Law, Patent Rights, Trademarks, etc.
Focusing predominantly on the Indian scenario, the members who attended the workshop, found it particularly elevating their awareness. The event was graced by the Director of SCMS Pune, Dr. Adya Sharma and was organized by Dr. Ashutosh Mathur, Head of Placement and Corporate Relations, SCMS, Pune. Several workshops are conducted every year in light of creating a better understanding and mindfulness amongst the members of SCMS, Pune.
