Within 3 years since its inception, The Research and Development Cell has procured much appraise but even more publications under its name. Our aim as a research team has not only been to take up projects, both individual and group but also to instill amongst the students of our college the spirit and passion for research. We have done this in the past by conducting workshops, brown bag sessions and calling dignitaries from other organizations. Our latest attempt in this path is the Research Paper Writing and Presentation Competition-2017, an ambitious project to unite all the research enthusiasts of the Symbiosis International University. This Research Paper Competition which was held only for the students has seen entries not just from the city of Pune but also from Symbiosis colleges of three other cities. The presenters came from more than 7 institutes including SLS-Hyderabad, SSE-Pune, SCMHRD and many more. The papers received were first reviewed by the internal faculty members(Gilbi John, Dhiraj Jain, Vijay Prakash Mishra, Sharmila Devi, Mansi Kapoor, Jaysing Bhosle). The authors presented their papers on the event held on 27 February 2017 in the SCMS-P building, SVC Campus. Each presenter was allotted 15 minutes to impress the panel with the findings of their paper. The Cell accepted papers from various disciplines which were later categorized into 4 tracks which were:

  • Management and Law
  • Management and Social Sciences
  • Management and Banking/Economics/Education
  • Management and Technology.

  • The top 15 selected papers will be published in the conference proceedings. Keeping the environmental concerns and developing technology in mind we provided participants with digital certificates and felicitated the judges with a sapling. The day closed with the award ceremony where the following three awards were given. These were:

  • Best paper per track
  • Best presenter per Track
  • Best Researcher.
  • Overall, the competition, being a first time event, received an overwhelming response from the participants end and a great feedback from the panelists. We hope to continue this competition as an annual event and take it to greater heights.
