Student exchange programs lead to greater international understanding. Each year SCMS students have multiple opportunities to pursue a semester abroad. At the same time, SCMS also welcomes multiple exchange students from all around the world.
Global Immersion Program
Spending a semester abroad is oftentimes very difficult for students as they need to make up for all the lost work. To foster and facilitate semester exchange, the idea of a floating credits semester took root that evolved into ‘Global Immersion Program’.
At SCMS, the fourth semester has been identified as the ‘Global Immersion Program ‘semester During the GIP semester, SCMS students have the freedom to complete any 12 credits of their choice a partner university of SIU across the globe and SCMS will let them transfer those credits.
The students who do not go on semester abroad can also benefit from the floating credits semester as they get to explore interdisciplinary courses.
Outbound Exchange
Collaboration with foreign universities -
SCMS has collaboration with foreign universities mainly in terms of student mobility. SIU has tie-ups with many universities around the world (full list on scie.ac.in), out of which SCMS has collaboration with the following universities:

Inbound Exchange
SCMS welcomes international exchange students to undertake up to two terms at the campus. This program offers a better perspective of the Indian economy, culture and society. SCMS has played host to students from countries such as, France, Germany, Sweden, Japan.
Summer and Winter Schools
Some SCMS students also choose to attend Summer/Winter schools and other short term programs. SCMS facilitates this by offering attendance assistance etc.; but not necessarily the credit transfer. SCMS students have attended summer schools at universities such as, Harvard University, London School of Economics, Dance summer school at Trinity Laban,Uk and more.
